Abi Moore (E-RYT 200) has been teaching yoga since 2013. After being drawn to the simplicity and structure of the Ashtanga Yoga system, she started practicing Ashtanga Yoga in 2016 when she met her teacher Taylor Hunt.
In 2017, she moved to Columbus, Ohio to deepen her studies and apprentice with Taylor. During her 4 years at Ashtanga Yoga Columbus, Abi learned how to refined her teaching and matured in her practice, traveled to Mysore India to study with R. Sharath Jois twice, taught and assisted morning and evening mysore, and had the opportunity to support and be supported by the AYC community. She is passionate about the practice of Ashtanga yoga, and believes it is much more than just a series of poses to work through, it also provides a lifestyle that supports the whole person. The system is structured in a way that it can provide physical, mental and emotional benefits to anyone, no matter their physical abilities. As a teacher, she is passionate about sharing the practice in an approachable way that can work for each student. She currently lives in Birmingham Alabama with her husband Patrick and dog Truman and is pursuing her Masters degree in Counseling while teaching workshops around the Southeast whenever she can.
