200 Hour Guatemala Immersion

Goal of Training:

This is an incredible opportunity for us to truly immerse ourselves into a daily Yoga practice.  In our training we will create a safe and sacred space to learn, grow and experience our own divinity.

Our intention is to share and support one another in a daily practice and return home to our loved ones inspired, happy and radiant with the strength and projection to uplift those around us.

I do believe this training will offer you experiences that will serve you throughout your life.

As my teacher, Yogi Bhajan used to say “I am here to create teachers not accumulate students”.

He was very clear that we should practice our sadhana and find the divine teacher within.

Requirements:

It is important that you are sincere in your commitment and that you are healthy physically, mentally and emotionally. Yoga can be practiced by all and we do not want to discourage anyone who has the right intention however the training will be challenging physically and mentally and it is important that you are in the space to allow these changes to unfold. During this exploration one may experience feelings of comfort, discomfort, happiness, sadness, joy and fear all of which are equally important in our growth.

We do recommend a minimum of 1 year of Hatha Yoga Practice before attending our Teacher Training Program.

Travel Arrangements: Participants are responsible for reserving and purchasing their own roundtrip transportation to Guatemala City Airport and the cab ride from the airport to nearby Antigua. We recommend that you book your flights as soon as possible. It could be difficult to reserve tickets if you wait too long. We suggest that participants arrive no later than 2:40pm at the Guatemala International Airport, if they would like to proceed directly to lake. If arrival is past 3pm, we recommend staying in Antigua (40 minutes from airport) or in Guatemala City near the Airport Hostal Villa Toscana.

Options for round trip tickets: There are many On-line travel sites or you can search for Latin American Airlines visit: http://www.wonderlink.com.  Taca Airlines along with American Airlines offer very good rates out of Miami and Spirit airlines also offer discounted rates.

Airport Transport: We can help you arrange transportation to and from Guatemala City International Airport by private mini bus (approx. 3 hour drive). Cost depends on number of people in van. It can range from $80 (private) to $25 per person for shared shuttle (4 or more) we can arrange with our retreat center if you contact us.

Boat: The Retreat center is only accessible by boat. We can arrange for a boat pick up from Panajachel (where airport shuttle drops off). Private boats fees are $17 -$30 depending upon the number of passengers.

Please note:  Upon Arrival in order to catch the last water taxi from Panajachel to the retreat center you will need to arrive at Guatemala City airport no later than 3 p.m. on Saturday. Otherwise you can arrive a day earlier on Friday and spend an extra night in Antigua or Guatemala City.

Return trip you will require a water taxi ride from the retreat center to Panajachel, and a 3 1/2 hour drive to the airport plus 2 hours for check in so you may want to book a flight later in the day. For example if you left the retreat center at 8:00am you could reach the airport at noon to catch a 2:00 pm flight. Or again you could stay over a night in Antigua fly on Sunday.
