Ashtanga Beginner Series
Learn the basics of Ashtanga Yoga in a welcoming and supportive environment. In this four class series students will learn the basic technique for connecting breath and movement through the beginning sequence of postures. Each student will work at their own level.
In addition to posture alignment and variations, students will be introduced to philosophy of Ashtanga Yoga, breathing techniques, and the benefits of practicing in a Mysore style class.
Class meets once a week at a scheduled time. Registration also includes an unlimited month of yoga at Birmingham Yoga.
Class size is limited to allow individual instruction. All discussion and practice will be appropriately socially distanced and doors will be open to the outdoors to allow increased ventilation in the yoga room. Mask will be required when you are not on your yoga mat and the instructor will be wearing a mask at all times.
